Soul Journeying: Shamanic Tools for Finding Your Destiny and Recovering Your Spirit by Alberto Villoldo

Don’t let the title fool you into thinking you must do something like Ayahuasca. You don’t. However, you will journey into soul retrieval and visit the lower and upper worlds.

Meditation is going to come in handy to perform this soul journey. First, this journeying may be harder to perform without a grounded and comfortable ability in meditation. This spiritual book offers a way to heal from lived lives and cleanse your soul in the present. The author explains it best below.

You’ll navigate through the all-pervading matrix of light that organizes time into past, present, and future by journeying – a unique state of consciousness that you enter through guided meditations and breathing exercises.

In this book, you’ll learn about the four-chambered soul.

The Lower World – 4 Chambers

  1. The Chamber of Wounds
  2. Chamber of Soul Contracts
  3. The Chamber of Grace
  4. The Chamber of Treasures

I have ventured into the first three chambers and am still working through this process. This process is not one you can delve right into in one day. At least, I wouldn’t think you could. The journeying requires stillness both internally and externally.

Once done correctly, it took me a few tries to get the hang of it; you can experience eye-opening knowledge. I know I did. It opened my eyes to a specific pattern of behavior that I’ve been trying to figure out for some time. Once I was shown where and whom it came from, my past life, it suddenly made sense. And I knew it to be true.

You will have your own unique experiences.

The Lower World is the bulk of this book, but you also have the Upper World. You will retrieve your destiny, remove limiting beliefs, and learn more about the Five Planes.

My Thoughts

This book is fascinating, and I am so glad I came across it through another book. It’s not like any book I’ve ever read. This is an excellent look into the shamans of the Americas.

I don’t think this book is for someone just starting their spiritual journey. Some of this may seem far out there if you’ve not yet read or learned about spiritual awakening, soul contracts, cord-cutting, past lives, cleansing energy, etc.

If you’ve read this book, please leave your experiences in the comments below if you want to share.

May you find peace and guidance on your journey. On to the next chapter! 📖
